The Botanist Islay Gin
The Botanist Islay Gin is a premium batch-produced gin slowly distilled in a Lomond still on Islay in Scotland, using pure Islay spring water. It is flavoured with 9 traditional gin aromatics and 22 botanicals native to Islay. The result is a complex and floral gin that is fantastic in a range of cocktails. The Botanist is bottled at 46% ABV, stronger than most gins.
Botanist Gin Bramble cocktail
The Bramble is a classic British cocktail that is a perfect combination of sweet and sour from the blackberry liqueur and the lemon juice over a perfectly aromatic gin base. The additional botanicals in the Botanist gin add an additional depth to the flavour. The perfect summer cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 50ml Botanist Gin
- 20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 15ml simple syrup
- 20ml Creme de Mure (blackberry liqueur)
Fill a tumbler or cocktail glass with crushed ice. Add the gin, simple syrup and lemon juice and stir. Pour over the creme de mure and garnish with a slice of lemon and a couple of blackberries to finish.
